An even quicker Lucid Air coming soon
KUALA LUMPUR: Lucid Motors introduced the Air Dream Edition sedan just a while back, September 9th, to be precise. The Tesla electric car rival shocked the auto industry with its unique features and specs. And now, we hear that the California based electric car company is planning to bring an even better performing Lucid Air!
Giving a little bit of back-story, the Lucid Air Dream Edition has an astonishing quarter-mile time of 9.9 seconds. Yes, you read it right. For the sake of comparison, the Porsche 918 Spyder takes 9.81 seconds to cover the same distance. But now, as per Lucid Motors' recent Twitter, the electric sedan will be even quicker than 9.7 seconds.
Talking a bit about Lucid Motors recent social media post, it's caption read - "What's quicker than quick? Check back on September 24th to see #LucidAir answered that question." The video following it showed the Air sedan running on a race track with the background timer going from 9.90 to 9.65 seconds.
With September 24th, just around the corner, we are pretty excited about what Lucid Motors are bringing next to the electric car world. As for the ongoing Lucid Air, we are still not over its capability and features. Here are a few of its key highlights -
- It charges faster than any other electric vehicle, 32 km per minute when connected to a DC Fast Charger
