Say hello to the limited-run Alpine A110 Legende GT
KUALA LUMPUR: After the success of the A110 Legende GT launched in 2020, the French automaker rolled out the all-new A110 Legende GT for 2021. It is endowed with new design enhancements, high-level equipment, and a technical package of the A110S under the hood. Well, the production of the new version is limited to just 300 units across the European market, its bookings are now underway via the Alpine Cars phone app.
Speaking about the cosmetic changes first, the new A110 Legende GT gets a new mat Mercury Silver exterior paintwork and the black leather Sabelt Comfort bucket seats, with grey stitching. Another design combination on offer is an Abyss Blue bodywork and exclusive Amber Brown leather Sabelt Comfort seats.
Giving a subtle contrast to the two body colours are pale gold Alpine monograms and 18-inch Grand Prix diamond-cut wheel rims with gold brake calipers. At the back, the car features translucent LED lights that also differentiate it from the other A110s.
Inside the cabin, the limited edition Legende GT boasts lots of equipment as standard like front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, and focal audio system. It also gets a Dinamica headliner and copper accents on the center console, air vents, and sun visors. A numbered plate below the central console emphasizes the exclusivity of the model.
Under the skin, the 2021 A110 Legende GT special edition is equipped with a 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine borrowed from the A110S. It generates a maximum power of 292 hp and a peak torque of 320 Nm, which is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. That much power coupled with a kerb weight of 1359 kg results in an impressive performance. Looking at the numbers, the car runs from standstill to 100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds before hitting the top speed of 250 kmph.
Alpine says that the car “delivers a right balance of comfort and precise dynamic behaviour that makes it easy to drive every day.”
