KUALA LUMPUR: Vietnam has become the first left-hand-drive market to welcome the next-gen Wigo hatchback. For those who aren’t familiar, Wigo is also sold as the Perodua Axia, Toyota Agya, and Daihatsu Ayla in the international market.

    Powering the next-gen Wigo is a 1.2-liter twin-cam, 12-valve inline-3 petrol engine generating a maximum power of 88 PS along with a peak torque of 113 Nm.

    The drive is sent to the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission (in the E variant) and Daihatsu's Dual-Mode Continuously Variable Transmission (in the top-spec G variant).
