Designed by CALTY’s Newport Beach, California, and Ann Arbor, Michigan studios, the new Toyota Camry boasts a new hammerhead front fascia with slim LED headlights. The interior has a simpler design with a completely revamped horizontally styled dashboard.
Features
In terms of features, the upcoming sedan is expected to get LED fog lamps, LED tail lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch infotainment unit, wireless Apple CarPlay Android Auto, a 12.3-inch instrument panel, head-up display, 8-way powered front seats with ventilation function, three-zone climate control, leather upholstery, and a 360-degree camera.
Engine
Just like Singapore and Thailand, the Malaysia-spec Camry is likely to come with a hybrid drivetrain combining a 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated inline-four gasoline mill, an electric motor, and a lithium-ion battery. The said mill generates 88 PS at 6,000 rpm and 221 Nm of torque between 3,200 to 5,200 rpm while the motor is tuned to make 136 PS and 208 Nm. The combined system output is rated at 231 PS.

Safety
With safety as a top priority, the sedan is packed with eight airbags and several advanced driver-assistance systems such as autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert, lane tracing assist, auto high beam, and traffic sign recognition.
Notably, the ninth-gen Camry recently received a 5-star rating from ANCAP (Australasian New Car Assessment Program). It is a testament that the D-segment sedan offers robust protection for both occupants and vulnerable road users.
