After its debut, the car is most likely to hit the streets as a 2024 model.
Another important thing confirmed by the post’s hashtag #savethemanuals is that the upcoming pony car will be offered with a six-speed manual transmission. Thus allowing enthusiasts to control gears in an old-fashioned way. However, we have sensed this earlier with a hidden pattern inside the alphabet ‘O’ of the ‘7th GENERATION’ script, which resembles the three-pedal layout.
The next-gen Mustang is internally codenamed as the S650 in line with the ongoing version, which is the S550. The prototype versions of the car have been spotted for more than a year now, in Ecoboost and GT variants, along with a convertible body style. The spied images hint at an evolutionary design with an updated version of the ongoing D2C platform.
Under the hood, the 2023 Ford Mustang is likely to be equipped with the ongoing 2.3-litre inline-four or a 5.0-litre V8 engine. The long-anticipated hybrid mill that was first announced around 2020 is also expected to be included in the generation update. Reports suggest a conventional rear-wheel-drive V8 coupled with an electric motor at the front axle and battery pack enough for offering a small electric range.
As for the interior, we can anticipate a major overhaul with loads of advanced technologies.
More details are expected to roll out closer to the debut, so sit tight.
