All-new Kia Carnival - The ultimate family car

Kia has recently started its new journey in Malaysia with Dinamika Jaya Motors Sdn Bhd. The new sole distributor rolled out the updated Carnival MPV just last month after opening the order books in November. It is available in a single 2.2D 11-Seater variant priced at RM 196,341 (on-the-road, without insurance). Included in the price is a five-year/100,000 km manufacturer warranty.

Accommodating and flexible interior

The new Kia Carnival comes with different seating options. It can accommodate a total of 11 passengers and offers individual comfort for every single seat with spacious headroom and legroom. The seats are decked up with tasteful materials for a luxury feel. Other configurations are 2nd & 3rd row jump-seat folding, 4th row pop-up sinking, and 3rd-row seatback folding & sliding. We can say the MPV has the versatility to accommodate whatever comes in.

Smart power sliding doors and smart power tailgate

For easy egress and ingress of rear occupants, the MPV gets smart power sliding doors and for easy access to the boot, it has the smart power tailgate. Also, all doors can be closed and locked with one smart-key button as you walk away.

Uncompromised safety

The new Carnival underpins an integrated new platform featuring technological advances like improved body materials and chassis rigidity that protects you in the event of a collision. The MPV is packed with seven airbags as standard including the driver, driver’s knee, front passenger, two front-side, and two side-curtain units.

The safety pack also includes ABS with BA & EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control System, Multi-Collision System, Hill-Start Assist Control, Auto Hold Function, Rear Occupant Alert, ISOFIX, Blind-spot collision warning, and Rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist.

Fuel efficient engine with less vibrations

The 2022 Kia Carnival is powered by a Smartstream 2.2-litre Turbo CRDi, 4 Inline cylinders, DOHC diesel engine that delivers a maximum power output of 202 PS at 3,800 rpm along with a peak torque of 441 Nm from 1,750 to 2,750 rpm. The powertrain not offers significant fuel savings through advanced technologies such as improved cooling and reduced friction, but also produces less vibration.

It is mated with an eight-speed automatic gearbox offering smooth gear changes, with more gear ranges for a perfect balance of economy and power.

Advanced infotainment system 

For all your infotainment needs, the MPV comes with a large 12.3-inch capacitive touch-screen display. You can access your favourite audio sources, tune in to radio stations, or adjust audio quality with the help of convenient controls mounted on the steering wheel.

The system also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options by which you can integrate your favorite apps into the large display.

Wireless charger

The hi-tech Carnival also features a charging pad that provides you the facility of charging your compatible mobile phone wirelessly.

Seven USB ports

Besides the front wireless charging pad, you get seven USB ports inside the new Carnival covering all three rows, which allows occupants to charge their mobile devices on the go.

Auto Air-conditioning system

For the front, the MPV gets a dual-zone auto air conditioning system that enables the driver and front passenger to set temperatures as per their comfort levels. However, a single-zone auto air conditioning system is there for the rear to provide the same cooling or heating and maintain a comfortable temperature for the occupants. 

Apart from these advanced interior features, the new Kia Carnival also boasts a stylish exterior with the brand's signature tiger-nose grille, dual LED headlights, sleek body lines, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear combination tail lights, rain-sensing wipers, powered ORVMs with heated function and more. 

The MPV comes in six exciting shades, including Aurora Black Pearl, Snow White Pearl, Silky Silver, Panthera Metal, Astra Blue, and Flare Red.
