All-new Hyundai i20 to benefit from Bose Premium Sound System

KUALA LUMPUR: The all-new Hyundai i20 recently went on sale in Europe. And now the automaker has introduced Bose Premium Sound System for the market, thus making the hatchback even more desirable. Also, it is for the first time Hyundai has benefited from a Bose product.

The new Bose sound system is said to deliver “clean, immersive, and powerful music reproduction”. All this will be possible via the system’s eight high-performance speakers and a subwoofer.

Engineers from the two companies came together to design and tune the eight-speaker system in the i20. Enabling the system to provide high-quality sound irrespective of the driving condition is an advanced digital signal processor. Also, helping the sound system offer a rich and vibrant listing experience, the engineers designed the speakers to produce a specific set of low-, mid-, and high-range frequencies, making sure all components are optimised to work side-by-side.

Key highlights of i20’s Bose Sound System -

• Bose Super65 speakers and 130 mm neodymium woofer supply base frequencies, the former are installed on each door and the later place inside the rear-left quarter panel of the car that is custom-engineered
• The mid-range Bose Twiddler speaker mounted in the instrument panel and two 130 mm wide range on the rear doors offer clean and balanced mid-range

• Two 25 mm neodymium tweeters installed on the quadrant covers handle treble duties
• Bose digital amplifier with eight channels drives all the eight speakers, enabling listeners to tweak the sound coming out each speaker
• The dynamic speed compensation technology monitors vehicles speed to adjust music levels automatically
