All-new BMW M performance model coming in 2021

KUALA LUMPUR: The year 2021 is getting better with each passing moment. We recently informed you about Lotus's upcoming sports car available in various versions with a wide price range and now we hear that a new BMW M performance model is scheduled for a 2021 debut. Great, isn't it?

The German automaker has officially confirmed that it is bringing a new M-badged electric model during the 2020 sales performance release. It mentioned that in a way is a 'completely new manifestation of the distinctive M feeling'.

Which M-performance model, you ask? Well, we don't know for sure but as per some leading industry experts, it is expected to be the upcoming BMW i4 electric sedan.

What is expected from the BMW i4?

Though not much is known about the upcoming BMW M performance model, however, if it is the i4 then unlike the new M3 and M4 this one will be an 'M-lite' model. Somewhat similar to the ongoing BMW M340i.

The Tesla Model 3 rival will come with a 530 hp mill, that'll push the car from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4 seconds and help it attain a top speed of 201 kmph. Back in 2019, BMW along with the above specs promised a 595 km of range. Compared to the 490 hp Model 3, the
BMW i4 is obviously more powerful, however, it still falls a bit short in meeting the 100 kmph mark, which Model 3 gets in 3.1 seconds.
