All-new BMW 4 Series Coupe: Full Details

BMW Malaysia has included a new coupe in its lineup, the 430i Coupe M Sport. The newest entry in the line comes three months after the introduction of the M4, M3 Competition in the country, i.e., in Dec 2020. In the local market, the new 4 Series Coupe will be offered in a single M Sport trim option and today will be discussing it in detail, starting with the price.

New BMW 4 Series price

BMW 430i Coupe M Sport is priced at RM 441,680 with SST exemption. Included in the base price is a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty with zero free services. The customers can also opt for an optional 5-year warranty and free service package that hikes the coupe price to RM 454,800.

BMW Malaysia is also offering the 430i Coupe M Sport with an Innovation Package that is priced at RM 36,000. The said kit includes -

• BMW Laser lights
• High beam assist
• Vernasca leather upholstery
• Harman Kardon surround sound system
• Sensatec (synthetic leather) instrument panel
• BMW Connected Package Professional

New BMW 430i Coupe M Sport engine & performance

Powering the all-new 430i Coupe M Sport is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo mill that makes a maximum power of 258 hp and a peak torque of 400 Nm from 1,550 to 4,400 rpm. The drive is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission.

The coupe weighs 1,620 kg and can cover 0 to 100 kmph distance in just 5.8 seconds. It can attain a top speed of 250 kmph. Its fuel consumption is rated at 15.15 kmpl and its CO2 emission is rated at 151 g/km.

The all-new 4 Series Coupe looks edgy, proactive, and independent. It gets a distinctive front profile that features the brand’s unique double Kindley grille. Head of BMW Group Design, Adrian van Hooydonk said, " With its new design language, the new BMW 4 Series Coupé emphasizes its great independence and forms an expressive character with great appeal. "

The 430i M Sport is offered in six exterior hues - Dravit Grey metallic, Alpine White, Arctic Race Blue metallic, Black Sapphire metallic, Portimao Blue metallic, and Tanzanite Blue metallic.

Since this one is an M Sport model, it features several M specific elements like M leather-wrapped steering, powered front sports seats with memory function, M-specific foot pedals, seat belt with M Sport stripes, aluminum Tetragon trimmings finished in pearl chrome, and Vernasca leather seats. The last one is available in five colour options - Cognac, Tacora Red, Oyster, Mocha, and Black. Without the Innovation Package, the Vernasca upgrade is available for RM 15,260.

Also, part of the 4 Series cabin kit is an electrochromic driver’s side mirror and rear view mirror, ambient lighting with 111 predefined settings, welcome light carpet, trip-zone automatic climate control, and BMW’s Comfort Access system.

The optional kit includes eight interior trim choices ranging from wood and aluminium trimmings. Also, available are three BMW Individual finishers (high-gloss aluminium fabric, piano black, and ‘Fineline’ open-pore black wood) that cost RM 6,110 each.

BMW 4 Series safety kit

The coupe benefits from the BMW Driving Assistant kit that comprises rear cross-traffic warning, front collision warning with brake intervention, lane departure warning, rear collision prevention, cruise control with braking function, and lane change warning. It also benefits from Parking Assistant with rearview camera and reversing assist.
