All-new 2023 Renault Espace revealed with two seating layouts
KUALA LUMPUR: Renault has pulled the wraps off the sixth generation of its popular MPV, the Espace. Based on the CMF-CD platform, the new Espace is a long-wheelbase iteration of the Austral crossover with a few cosmetic tweaks inside and out. It can be configured in both 5- and 7-seat seating layouts.

Renault offers the sixth-gen Espace in two electrified hybrid mills - 1.2-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder and 1.3-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder.The 2023 Renault Espace looks more muscular and elegant than its predecessor thanks to its SUV-like design language. It features one of the largest sunroofs available on any vehicle, measuring a metre squared. The glass of the roof has been treated with a coating that filters UV rays and infrared rays, while also reflecting heat to prevent it from entering the cabin.
When it comes to interior technologies, Renault’s latest model has everything to impress tech-savvy enthusiasts. It is kitted with an ‘OpenR’ infotainment and driver information pack, comprising a portrait-style 12-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. Complementing these advanced displays is a 9.3-inch head-up display and LED ambient lighting with 48 colours.
The new Espace offers an impressive boot capacity, depending on the seating capacity. The 5-seater version can let you store up to 777-litres of luggage that can be expandable up to 1,818-litres with the second row of seats folded down. The 7-seater trim, on the other hand, houses 159-litre boot space with all three rows in place.
Renault offers the sixth-gen Espace in two electrified hybrid mills - 1.2-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder and 1.3-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder. Both units come mated to a CVT automatic transmission. Also, part of the kit is a ‘Multimode’ Hybrid system that consists of 5 driving modes - Full electric, e-drive, Dynamic hybrid, IC, and Regeneration.

It retains the DNA of the five previous generations, through its top-of-the-range presentation, its comfort, its habitability and its luminosity. It is also being transformed to meet new customer demands, with a benchmark hybrid engine and a unique multimedia experience.”
