All-new 2023 BMW X6 facelift launched in Malaysia 

KUALA LUMPUR: Globally revealed in February this year, the all-new 2023 BMW X6 facelift has now landed on Malaysian shores. The upgraded X6 is offered in a sole xDrive40i M Sport trim in the local market, priced at RM 719,620 (on-the-road without insurance) with a standard two-year warranty and RM 754,800 with a five-year extended warranty and service package.

The all-new 2023 BMW X6 facelift is fueled by a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six petrol engine combined with a new 48-volt mild hybrid system that features a 12 PS/200 Nm electric motor. Combinedly, the setup kicks out a maximum power of 381 PS from 5,200 to 6,250 rpm and a peak torque of 540 Nm from 1,850 to 5,000 rpm, representing a bump of 41 PS and 90 Nm over the predecessor.

The power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission and the xDrive all-wheel drive system. It enables the SUV to complete the century sprint in 5.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 kmph. 

Design-wise, the new BMW X6 looks more sporty with a refreshed front bumper, a three-dimensional BMW kidney grille with the ‘Iconic Glow’ lighting, and new Adaptive LED headlights boasting the ‘X’ DRL signature. Also part of the kit is new 22-inch Style 747 M light alloy wheels, blue M Sport brake callipers, a panoramic glass roof, M Aerodynamic package, LED tail lights, and Pearl Chrome skid plates.

The cabin of the BMW X6 benefits from several new equipment and tech updates, offering better connectivity and comfort to occupants. These include -

As for safety, the SUV comes packed with the Driving Assistant Professional pack mated to a camera and radar-based assistance system, which offers Level 2 Partial Driving automation. The pack comprises - autonomous emergency braking, automatic speed limit assist, lane keep assist with steering intervention, lane change assist, evasion assist, crossroads warning, front crossing traffic warning, wrong-way warning, and traffic light detection. 

Parts of the Parking Assistant Professional kit are - Active Park Distance Control, Reversing Assistant Professional, Lateral Parking Aid, Automated Parking Manoeuvre, Manoeuvring Assistant, and a surround view system.

The all-new BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport colour palette consists of the following tones -
