All-new 2023 BMW M2 is here; what’s on offer
For a while now BMW has been doing several things including debuts and special edition arrivals to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the BMW M GmbH. And now joining the long trail of events is the introduction of the all-new 2023 BMW M2.

2023 BMW M2: Engine
As can be expected, the M2 packs some serious performance underneath the skin. All thanks to a 3.0-litre inline-six engine with M TwinPower Turbo tech. The unit generates a maximum power of 460 hp at 6,250 rpm along with a peak torque of 550 Nm from 2,650 - 5,870 rpm.
Compared to the much hotter M2 CS and the previous gen M2 Competition, the new M2 offers more power (444 hp and 405 hp respectively).
2023 BMW M2: Transmission
The power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission as standard. The gearbox comes with a Drivelogic function with three shift settings, one each for comfort, sporty driving, and track configuration. Also available is a 6-speed manual transmission.

With the above-mentioned configuration the compact coupe can complete the century sprint in just 4.1 seconds and 4.3 seconds with 8-speed AT and 6-speed MT respectively.
2023 BMW M2: Driving dynamics
The all-new M2 sports a rear-wheel-drive system and comes equipped with several driving dynamic enhancing features. The list includes BMW Traction Control and Active M Differential. While the former allows the driver to probe the car’s performance limits by setting individual intervention thresholds for wheel slip limitation. The Active M Differential at the rear axle, on the other hand, generates a locking effect of up to 100 per cent when required. All this optimizes traction on road, thus offering different adhesion levels for the left- and right-hand rear wheels along with improving power transfer.
The coupe’s setup also features - a double-joint spring strut front axle and a five-link rear axle with M-specific kinematics. Also Part of the kit is an adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled dampers, Dynamic Stability Control with M Dynamic Mode, M Servotronic steering with variable ratio, and M Compound brakes with six-piston, floating-calliper brakes at the rear, and fixed-calliper brake at the front.
2023 MW M2: Design language
The all-new M2 coupe is surely a superb-looking car with several design elements that gives it a sporty yet subtle look. The front fascia gives away a familiar M look with features like a massive, frameless kidney grille with horizontal bars, and a three-section lower air intake with rectangular contours. The side profile showcases an equally striking picture supported by new 19-inch light alloy wheels at the front and 20-inch alloys at the rear. If required, customers can opt for track tyres from the factory.
The rear end is no less with the boot lid getting a spoiler lip along with quad tailpipes, diffuser inserts, and vertically arranged reflectors.
2023 BMW M2: Cabin comfort & Connectivity
The cabin paints a pretty inviting picture with several modern elements that make the coupe super comforting for the driver and passengers. The car features a driver-centric cockpit with M-specific readouts, setup, and control options. The BMW Curved Display with a 12.3-inch information touchscreen showcases driving-related information.
Also part of the kit is - a 14.9-inch control display with M-specific widgets for vehicle setup and tyre condition, sports seats with Sensatec/Alcantara surfaces, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a new BMW iDrive system with BMW ID, My BMW App, & a Personal eSIM .
The standard equipment list includes - 3-zone climate control, a Hi-Fi speaker system, ambient lighting, a Harman Kardon sound system, a powered sunroof, and an M Carbon roof.

The car’s safety kit features several active safety systems like autonomous emergency braking, speed limit assist, Lane Change Warning, Rear Crossing Traffic Warning, and more.

The latter uses carbon fibre-reinforced plastic in the backrest and seat cushion.
The brand’s optional bag also includes M Race Track Package, M Driver’s Package, M Carbon roof, M Carbon bucket seats, Carbon Fiber finished interior trim, and track tyres.
