2021 Toyota Raize engine
As is known by the variants name, the Raize is offered in two powertrain options - a 1.0-litre turbo and a 1.2-litre unit. The former 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo unit also powers the Rocky and pumps out a maximum power of 98 PS at 6,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 140 Nm from 2,400 to 4,000 rpm. As for the latter, the naturally-aspirated 1.2-litre three-cylinder mill makes 88 PS at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm at 4,500 rpm.
The power is sent to the wheels either via a CVT or a five-speed manual unit, the latter is limited to the Indonesian market. While the GR Sport comes with only CVT option, the rest two variants are available with both the gearbox choices.
The Indonesia-spec model is offered in seven colour options in total - two solid and five dual-tone with black roof for all 1.0L options. The former two include black and metallic grey tones, while the latter gets white, red, yellow, turquoise, and metallic silver shades.
2021 Toyota Raize exterior
The exterior design mostly remains common across the Raize lineup, for instance, the LED rear combination lights and auto-folding ORVMs. As for variant-wise distinction, the base 1.2 G trim gets body-coloured door handles, illuminating headlamp, and 1.6-inch silver wheels. The 1.0 G type benefits from a modern two-tone roof and the turbo trim gets chrome handles over and above the mentioned bits.
Lastly, the GR Sport adds on adaptive LED headlamps, LED DRLs with sequential indicators, an aerokit, and black 17-inch wheels.
2021 Toyota Raize interior
As expected the Raize offers a comforting cabin loaded with features, they however, vary with the trim option selected. The standard kit includes - a 7.0-inch TFT multi-info instrument cluster display, digital air-con system, keyless entry and push start ignition, and an 8.0-inch central display.
Over and above, the 1.0 G trim gets a larger infotainment display that measures 9.0-inch.
Coming to the top-spec GR Sport variant kit includes an automatic climate control system, fabric/leather combination upholstery, paddle shifters, and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
2021 Toyota Raize safety
Toyota offers the Raize compact SUV with several safety features for the driver and passenger, thus providing complete peace of mind. The standard safety kit includes - Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), and Hill Start Assist (HSA).
The range-topping GR Sport is the only one benefiting from Toyota Safety Sense suite of driver assist features that includes front departure alert, lane departure assist with steering control, autonomous emergency braking, pedal misoperation, and adaptive cruise control. Also, past the kit are six airbags.
