AC Schnitzer does something special for its 35th anniversary; tunes BMW M240i

KUALA LUMPUR: For those of you who aren’t aware, AG Schnitzer is one of the most popular names that comes to mind when talking about modified BMWs. They have been modifying an already-capable BMW since 1987 and for its 35th anniversary, the Aachen based tuner has tried its hands on the 2022 BMW M240i.

The AC Schnitzer tuned BMW M240i is claimed to be an even better M-Car than the one created by the automaker’s M-division. Let’s check out if it is true or not?

Performance upgrade: The AC Schnitzer 35th anniversary M250i edition benefits from the tuner’s Individual special parts program that includes several performance and aesthetic upgrades. This has led to the increase of the power output from 374 hp to 420 hp and peak torque from 500 Nm to 600 Nm.

Exterior enhancements: The AC Schnitzer tuned M240i comes with a new, stainless steel exhaust. The carbon-fiber quad-exhaust tips are offered in chrome and black color options.
Other aesthetic enhancements include - aerodynamic improving front splitter, 12 mm wheel spacers, twin-color finish weight-optimized AC4 Flow Forming 8.5JX 20-inch wheels wrapped in 245/30 R 20 front and 255/30 R 20 rear tyres, two rear spoilers, subtle rear windshield, and one trunk lid. An option is also available 19-inch wheels.

Chassis upgrade: An AC Schnitzer’s tuning won’t be complete without a chassis upgrade that surely doesn’t disappoint anyone. The spring and sport suspension kit provided by the tuner makes the case approximately 20 to 25 mm lower, thus giving it a significantly lower center of gravity.

Cabin inclusions: On the inside, the car benefits from AC Schnitzer Sports steering wheel, bespoke shift paddles and new aluminum pedals. This is also an engine optics package that offers a special engine bay option.

Overall, the AC Schnitzer tuned BMW M240i is built with usability in mind. The refined BMW M240i experience has been kept intact, they have just added more to it!
