A sleek Cadillac crossover appears on GM Insta page
KUALA LUMPUR: After Porsche, its now GM’s turn to display car sketches that never make it to the production line. Recently, on the automaker's Instapage we spotted a rather sleek Cadillac crossover that appears to be inspired by the Cadillac Lyriq.
The car in the sketch showcases a striking design theme that includes an elongated rear end, vertical high-mount brake light, sloping hatch glass, and a stylish roof spoiler. Further, the sketch also gets the brand's signature vertical tail lamps dividing the rear fender with its full-width, bold lighting unit. The blank space between the lower diffuser and taillight is shaped like the brand's logo, which we think is a smart touch.
On to the side, though partly available, we see a subtle crease that begins from behind the front wheel as a vent. The sketch otherwise features typical Cadillac styling including a strong shoulder line, oversized wheels, and super-short overhangs.
It's very interesting to see what goes behind the close doors of an automaker's design studio. We hope to see more such intriguing designs in the future.
