2024 Maserati Grecale arrives in Malaysia - From RM635k, up to 530hp an 10 years warranty

KUALA LUMPUR:  Naza Italia has introduced the 2024 Maserati Grecale to the Malaysian market, available in both GT Hybrid and Trofeo versions. This highly anticipated SUV range, launched globally in 2022, is designed to strike a balance between versatility, elegance, performance, and innovation.

Developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena and produced at the Cassino plant, the Grecale is named after a north-easterly Mediterranean wind. It marks Maserati's expansion into a new SUV segment with three engine variants: conventional internal combustion, hybrid, and full-electric.

Chief Operating Officer of Naza Italia, Azwan Yahaya, expressed pride in bringing the 2024 Maserati Grecale to Malaysia, highlighting the excitement and desirability it offers. He emphasized the model's combination of Italian craftsmanship, innovative technology, and exceptional performance, aiming to set new standards in the luxury SUV market.

The Grecale GT, powered by a four-cylinder mild hybrid engine delivering 300 hp, and is targeted at urban, fashion-conscious individuals with a refined style. In contrast, the Trofeo variant features a high-performance 3.0L 530-hp petrol V6, derived from the Nettuno engine of the MC20, catering to those seeking  performance.

Design-wise, the Grecale incorporates Maserati’s new visual identity, featuring a low and imposing grille, fluid body lines, and boomerang taillights inspired by the Giugiaro 3200 GT. The exterior includes 20” alloy wheels, body-colour bumpers, side skirts, and a brushed chrome front grille insert.

Inside, the Grecale is about spaciousness and comfort, offering best-in-class features such as interior space, handling, and acceleration. The GT version measures 4,846 mm in length with a 2,901 mm wheelbase, providing substantial rear room and a 535L boot space with a flat loading platform.

The cabin is designed with an unconventional approach, inspired by interior design rather than traditional automotive aesthetics. It features Saffiano leather dashboard inserts, burnished elements on the central console, and door panels with laser processing. The digital Maserati clockface, a first for the brand, acts as an in-car concierge with voice control.

Technology is integrated through touch-based controls managed by multiple displays: a 12.3” central screen, an 8.8” additional display for extra controls, and a rear passenger screen. The Trofeo version also offers an optional heads-up display. The Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) Multimedia system and Maserati Connect (yet to be available in Malaysia) manage the in-car experience, enhanced by the Sonus Faber 3D sound system with up to 21 speakers.

The 2024 Grecale also features the new Maserati Vehicle Dynamic Control Module (VDCM) system, providing 360° control over the car and standardizing the COMFORT, GT, SPORT, and OFF-ROAD drive modes.

The Grecale GT is priced at RM 634,889.00, while the Trofeo starts at RM 1,100,000.00, both inclusive of local duties and taxes but excluding customizations, road tax, and insurance. Each model comes with a 3-year full Maserati warranty with an option to extend up to 10 years.
