2024 Hyundai Creta exterior revealed officially; India launch next week
KUALA LUMPUR: Hyundai is set to launch the all-new Creta facelift in India on January 16, 2024. Ahead of that, the upgraded SUV was leaked online last week previewing a complete look at its exterior. Well, the leaked images are no longer relevant now, as the automaker officially revealed the new Creta earlier this morning.

The 2024 Hyundai Creta will go on sale in India on January 16, 2024.The new Hyundai Creta looks more rugged and bold compared to the outgoing model. At the front, we can notice a comprehensive update in the form of a new rectangular grille, redesigned squared housings for the headlights, and a bonnet-width LED DRL bar incorporating an inverted L-shaped signature. Positioned below, the prominent skid plate now features a silver finish.
The design upgrades are not restricted to the front only as the side profile gets a fresh pair of wheels and the rear profile benefits from a tweaked bumper with a larger skid plate finished in silver and connected LED tail lights.
Getting inside, here the revamped dashboard houses dual integrated 10.25-inch displays for the infotainment unit and the new digital driver’s display. Also new is an open storage space with ambient lighting, a new climate control panel with touch controls, and new-look materials and textures for the upholstery.
Other features on board are a panoramic sunroof, 8-speaker Bose sound system, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, 8-way power driver’s seat, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a Level 2 ADAS suite incorporating several advanced-driver assistance bits.
In terms of mechanical setup, the SUV gains a new engine option viz. a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol tuned to deliver 160 PS of maximum power and 253 Nm of peak torque. It is hooked to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The other two engine options carried forward from the previous model are - a 115 PS/144 Nm 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 116 PS / 250 Nm 1.5-litre diesel.
For pricing details, we need to wait for the official launch in India scheduled for next week. As for the Malaysian launch, no information is available yet.
