The front looks tougher with a distinctive bumper design, bold TOYOTA branding, and a GR Sport logo, while the rear pays homage to Gazoo Racing with a signature red and black decal. 2023 Toyota Hilux GR Sport mechanicals

Underneath the metal skin of the GR-badged Hilux pickup truck lies the same 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine found on the 2.8 Rogue variant. The said powertrain is capable of generating a maximum power of 204 hp and a peak torque of 500 Nm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox and a part-time four-wheel-drive system paired with an automatic limited-slip differential and a rear differential lock.

While the engine has carried over from the non-GR model, the exclusive setting you get here is the new Monotube Damper Suspension. This sports-tuned suspension promises greater confidence on the road, especially when taking a turn.
