The 2023 Proton Rahmah Campaign will run until May 31, 2023.The latter includes the PAYUNG RAHMAH programme that began with Menu Rahmah and Jualan Rahmah for meals and consumer items, respectively, and is now extended to cars with the launch of AUTO RAHMAH initiative by MITI minister Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Aziz.
The first automotive brand that responded to the government’s call to extend support to the auto sector is Proton, which has rolled out the 2023 Proton Rahmah Campaign. Under this programme, the company offers a free 40-point safety check and an affordable service package to Proton owners.
The service package covers 25% off on semi-synthetic oil, 10% off on oil filters, and RM 20 discount on labour charges. It offers a sigh of relief to the customers who are travelling to their hometowns for the upcoming Raya Festival.
The owners of the Saga, Exora, Persona, and Iriz can take benefit of this programme along with ones who own the brand’s older models, including the Inspira, Waja, and Wira.
The official launch of the 2023 Proton Rahmah Campaign was held at Jewel Sonic, the company’s 3S Platinum Flagship store, yesterday. While officiating the ceremony, Tengku Zafrul said, “Vehicle ownership is essential to the daily lives of many Malaysians and the expenses related to it, such as loan repayment, fuel, tolls, and maintenance are major components of a household’s expenses. With the launch of the Rahmah Campaign, Proton owners will be able to get their cars inspected for free and purchase an affordable service package, which will ease their burden and free up funds for the approaching Hari Raya celebration.”
“I am pleased for Proton to be the first automotive company to support the Government’s initiative, and I hope other brands will follow suit to reduce the cost of living for those who need it most,” he added.
Roslan Abdullah, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Proton said “An inclusive campaign, costs are shared evenly between Proton Edar and our dealers as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CS) activities and we hope with it in place, owners are compelled to service their cars at our authorised service centres before starting the journey back during the festive period.”
The 2023 Proton Rahmah Campaign will continue until May 31, 2023.
