It is tied with a front-mounted motor generating maximum power of 156 hp and a peak torque of 260 Nm. The electric Peugeot 308 can run for 400 kilometres (on the WLTP cycle) on a single charge. With the help of a 100-kW charger, the battery can be charged from 20 to 80% in less than 25 minutes. The onboard three-phase charger also enables the battery charging via the right type of 11kW home charger.

The claimed energy consumption of the EV is just 12.7-kWh per 100 km. Peugeot says the impressive efficiency is the result of an aerodynamically improved front end and underbody, the lightweight EMP2 chassis, and the incredibly low rolling resistance tyres paired with a new set of 18-inch wheels.

Inside the cabin, the all-new 2023 Peugeot e-308 EV features a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch customised driver display, wireless phone charging, and several other hi-tech goodies.

The new Peugeot e-308 electric hatchback and station wagon will hit European showrooms next year. No information as to when it will come to ASEAN markets is available at the moment.
