What sets the two variants apart are exterior and interior trims. However, in terms of mechanical setup, both variants are identical. Both are powered by a 3.3-litre inline-6 e-Skyactiv G mild-hybrid engine, which kicks out a maximum power of 280 PS and a peak torque of 450 Nm.
The power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission that uses a clutch instead of a torque converter for a more direct transfer of torque, which leads to quick and responsive shifts similar to a manual gearbox, claims Mazda.
The front and rear suspension of the SUV are paired with an innovative Kinematic Posture Control system that employs the brakes to stabilise the car during turns and rough terrains, promising a smooth driving experience.
