    Engine

As mentioned earlier, the new GranTurismo will be offered in two engine options, a 3.0L petrol and a filly-electric unit.

The former is the brand’s Nettuno, a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 unit that will be offered in two tunes and first appeared on the MC20. However, instead of the exotic dry sump setup found in the MC20, the mill in GranTurismo gets a wet sump oil system.

In the Modena variant, the mill will generate a maximum power of 496 PS at 6,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 600 Nm at 3,000 rpm. As for the Trofeo trim, the power plant churns out 557 PS and 650 Nm of torque.

The EV variant comes with three e-motor, one driving the front axle and the other two the rear; with each electric motor providing 408 PS. The total system output is rated at 761 PS and 1,350 Nm. An uncommon 800V electric architecture operates the e-motors and power is drawn from a 92.5 kWh battery pack.

    Drivetrain

The 2023 Maserati GranTurismo, unlike the previous gen model, gets all-wheel drive as standard for the first time.

    Transmission

The drive is sent to the wheels via a ZF-sourced 8HP75 8-speed automatic transmission. Also part of the kit is a rear self-locking differential which is mechanical in Modena and electric in Trofeo trim.

    Performance

The mentioned setup allows the new GT Modena to complete the century sprint in just 3.9 seconds and attain a top speed of 302 kmph. As for the Trofeo model, the 0-100 kmph acceleration takes 3.5 seconds and the top speed is rated at 320 kmph.

The fully-electric Folgore trim gets from 0 to 100 kmph in the least time, 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of 320 kmph.

    Charging

The GT Folgore supports DC fast charging at up to 270 kW with up to 100 km range achieved in just 5 minutes.

    Braking and Handling

The GT variants feature the same suspension setup which includes a double wishbone at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear. The braking duty is performed by Brembo six-piston callipers clamping down on 380-mm discs at the front and four-piston callipers acting on 350-mm discs at the back.

    Driving modes

The petrol engine-powered variants come equipped with four modes, namely Comfort, Corsa, GT, and Sport.

The fully-electric Folgore trim, on the other hand, gets Max Range, GT, Sport, and Corsa.

    Safety

The 2023 GranTurismo benefits from several driver assistance features under Maserati Active Driving Assist that includes -

    • A surround-view camera
    • Autonomous emergency braking
    • Dynamic Road View
    • Rear emergency braking
    • Emergency lane keeping
    • Active lane assist
