After opening the ordering bookings for the all-new Creta earlier this month, Hyundai Sime Darby Motors has finally launched the new B-segment SUV in Malaysia. The automaker offers the Hyundai Creta in a sole 1.5 Plus variant fully imported model from Indonesia. It is priced at RM 149,888 (on the road without insurance).

2023 Hyundai Creta exterior
The Hyundai Creta features a striking and modern exterior design with bold and sculpted lines and a well-proportioned body. On the front lies a Black ‘Parametric Jewel’ grille and sleek LED headlights (automatic), giving the vehicle a strong and dynamic presence on the road. Also, part of the exterior package are LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, 17-inch wheels, and power-adjustable side mirrors with indicator lights and auto-fold functionality.

2023 Hyundai Creta interior
The cabin of the latest Hyundai SUV is spacious and well-designed with premium materials and easy-to-use controls. The dashboard hosts a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10.25-inch TFT LCD digital instrument cluster, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. The latter supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
The other creature comforts we get inside the new Creta are - single-zone Auto air conditioning controls (with rear vents), leather-wrapped gear lever, electronic parking brake with auto hold system, tilt & telescopic adjustment for the steering wheel, remote start function, LED ambient lights, rear USB charging ports, fabric upholstery, and four speakers.

Powering the new Korean SUV is a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated Smartstream engine that kicks out a maximum power output of 115 hp at 6,300 rpm and a peak torque of 144 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The power is sent to the front wheels via Intelligent Variable Transmission paired with steering paddles. Four selectable drive modes are - Eco, Normal, Sport, and Smart.
Performance-wise, the Creta accelerates from zero to 100 kmph in 12 seconds and clocks a top speed of 170 kmph.
