On the exterior, the sedan gets a refreshed honeycomb front grille complemented by a new lower grille and a new bumper with bigger fog light casings. Also part of the upgraded kit is a new rear diffuser, new side skirting, new “RS” emblem, new rear bumper, and new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
Dimension-wise, the RS trims are now 36 mm longer at 4,589 mm while the S, E, and V are 27 mm longer, measuring 4,580 mm. Other dimensions remain the same as before.
The new Honda City colour palette includes - Ignite Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl.
Inside, the new City gains a new interface for an 8-inch infotainment unit, eight speakers, an enhanced multi-angle rearview camera, coloured illumination for the automatic air conditioning, and a new USB Port (Type C) at the rear. Make note, these upgrades are not available on the base-spec S. However, paddle shifters and remote engine start are now parts of the standard package.
Moreover, the RS trims exclusively get wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 7-inch TFT metre.
As for safety, the all-new 2023 Honda City comes kitted with the brand’s suite of advanced Honda SENSING safety features as standard. It includes -
- Lead Car Departure Notification

No changes are there in terms of mechanical setup. That means the non-hybrid variants (S, E, V, RS Petrol) are powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated inline-four i-VTEC mill that makes 121 PS of maximum power and 145 Nm of peak torque. The power is sent to the front wheels via a CVT.
The e:HEV RS hybrid variant also equips the same Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) powertrain with a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated engine combined with two electric motors, a lithium-ion battery pack, and an e-CVT gearbox. The output levels are rated at 109 hp and 253 Nm.
