KUALA LUMPUR: The 2023 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) has commenced with a bang in the Land of Smiles, previewing several new models that are sure to capture the attention of car enthusiasts worldwide. One such model is the all-new Ford Ranger Stormtrak pickup which is a sportier trim of the Ranger Wildtrak loaded with additional equipment and features.

The new Ranger Stormtrak slots above the Ranger Wildtrak and below the furious Ranger Raptor in the pickup’s lineup. The exclusive highlights of the latest iteration are as follows -
- The Ranger Stormtrak features a distinctive black grille housing auxiliary lights
- On the rear quarter panels and the lower section of doors lies the exclusive black body decals, offering the vehicle a sportier and unique stance
- The pickup rides on striking 20-inch wheels featuring a new design and red highlights. These are wrapped in bigger 255/55/20 tyres
- Also part of the kit is the flexible rack system offering a convenient adjustment of the sports bar in five ways with one hand
- The interior has also undergone a few changes, it now features eye-catching red trim accents adding a touch of boldness
- Additionally, the Stormtrak script has been embossed onto the seats that reiterate the pickup’s unique identity
- Parts of the equipment kit are - a 12.4-inch instrument cluster, 12-inch infotainment unit, dual-zone automatic air conditioning system, electric parking brake, and Active Park Assist system
Under the bonnet of the all-new 2023 Ford Ranger Stormtrak lies the same 2.0-litre bi-turbo 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine found on the Wildtrak. The said mill kicks out a maximum power of 210 PS and a peak torque of 500 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via an e-shifter 10-speed automatic transmission.
