KUALA LUMPUR: The British luxury sports carmaker Aston Martin has recently revealed the convertible version of the new V12 Vantage alongside the ultra-exclusive DBR22 speedster. Dubbed as the V12 Vantage Roadster, the car will be available in a limited quantity of 249 units with global deliveries set to kick off in the fourth quarter of 2022. It is likely to be one of the brand’s last 12-cylinder models.

The international deliveries of the 2023 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster are set to kick off in the fourth quarter of 2022.The Vantage Roadster comes equipped with a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine kicking out a whopping power of 700 bhp and a peak torque of 753 Nm. As per the automaker, it is the most powerful Aston Martin Vantage ever. It combines effortless in-gear response with epic acceleration taking 3.5 seconds to hit the 100 kmph sprint. The top speed is rated at 322 kmph.
The V12 mill is tied with an eight-speed automatic transaxle and a mechanical limited-slip differential. Also part of the kit is a widened track and a revised suspension setup offering an improved grip. Helping the super roadster stop are carbon-ceramic brakes viz. 410 mm x 38 mm front and 360 mm x 32 mm rear, clamped by four-piston callipers.
The drop-top Vantage also benefits from revised bumpers and underbody moulding with hood, bumper, front fenders, and side sills all made up of carbon fibre. The revised design provides a maximum downforce of 476 pounds along with adequate cooling for the mill lying under the massive front clamshell.
The latest Vantage rides on 21-inch wheels shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres; the lightweight forged wheels are also available as an option.
Inside the V12 Vantage Roadster’s luxurious cabin lies the two Halo Sports Plus seats (with six-way adjustments) wrapped in semi-aniline leather, a flat-bottom multifunctional steering wheel, a touchscreen infotainment unit, a large centre console segregating the driver and passenger areas, a central armrest, and multiple airbags ensuring the occupants' safety.
Buyers can customise their luxury roadsters the way they want with the automaker’s in-house bespoke division, Q by Aston Martin.
