With the aggressive teaser campaigning, we can assume that the 2022 Myvi launch is around the corner.Accompanied by the tagline “The Next Standard”, the upcoming Myvi will feature a larger and deeper grille on the front. The slim chrome bar of the grille joins the slightly tweaked LED headlights that are expected to get an automatic feature. The front bumper also gets a makeover, it now has sharper borders around the downturned air intake and new vertical LED daytime running lights on the edges. Also visible in the new teaser is a gloss black lip featuring a silver middle part, which seems like a skid plate available on the sporty SUVs.
Added to the exterior upgrades is a tweaked rear bumper teamed up with vertical vents at the bottom and new alloy wheels. Overall, the new Myvi features a youthful design that will let you go in style, says the automaker.
Inside, the updated hatchback will carry a new instrument panel with a fresh multicolored LCD and red accents, red splashes on the AC panel, and a new steering wheel equipped with a whole lot of buttons for controlling media, calls, and advanced driver assists. While we have already seen these changes in the previous teasers, the new clip unveils the new seats with red accents contributing to the overall red theme.
The new Myvi will also be equipped with a new infotainment system and Perodua Smart Drive Assist system offering Level 2 semi-autonomous driving capability with systems like adaptive cruise control and lane centering assist.
Under the hood, the revamped hatch will have the ongoing powertrain options - 1.3-litre 1NR-VE making 95 PS and 121 Nm and 1.5-litre 2NR-VE delivering 103 PS and 137 Nm of torque. However, it is expected to borrow the D-CVT gearbox from the Ativa.
With a new base price tag of RM 45,700, the 2022 Perodua Myvi bookings are underway at all the authorised Perodua showrooms.
