2022 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain gets new features & colours in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain is one of the best-selling pickup trucks in the local market, which ticks all the right boxes when it comes to capability, versatility and sophistication. Introduced only a year ago, the pickup holds five ‘Pick-up Truck of the Year’ awards under its belt. Well, now this hot-selling model has just got better with new features and new colours options to choose from.

The updates added to the already-impressive list of credentials include -

LED welcome light: This new welcome light is tucked away neatly beneath the vehicle; its LED lamps illuminate the foot areas when the doors get unlocked. It can be turned on with the follow-me-home lights for a safe walk even in the darkest of nights.

Around-view monitor: This newly added driving assistance feature offers a 360˚ bird’s eye view of the immediate surroundings when reverse gear is selected. It also provides a selectable 3D guide on the 9.0-inch central display that assists in precise parking.

Qi wireless charging station: The charging area is positioned ahead of the gear selector on the central console. Compatible with most smartphones, it offers convenient and unobtrusive charging. This allows the passengers to enjoy music or view maps with uninterrupted Bluetooth connectivity without any headache of draining the phone battery.

Lighted scuff plates: The chic model also comes equipped with lighted scuff plates, which add a touch of elegance while protecting the sills from minor scratches.

New colours: Isuzu has also added two new shades to the D-Max colour palette, which are Silky Pearl White and Onyx Black. 

It is important to note that ​all these upgrades are exclusively available for the top-spec X-Terrain trim, which is powered by a 3.0-litre turbo diesel engine generating maximum power of 190 PS and a peak torque of 450 Nm. 

2022 Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain price

With the updated bits, the D-Max X-Terrain is now priced at RM 146,938.40 (on-the-road pricing without insurance). The bookings are now underway at all authorised Isuzu dealerships, with deliveries commencing mid-July.

Its inspiring safety, comfort and go-anywhere, do-anything versatility has led to a gradual migration of saloon car owners. I believe that with these new added features and colour choices, the D-Max X-Terrain will continue to appeal to many more who will be tempted to convert,” added Chief Operating Officer Kenkichi Sogo.
