Meet Geely’s new sporty sedan, the Binrui Cool
KUALA LUMPUR: After launching the new Emgrand in the Philippines, Geely has now pulled the wraps off its new sporty-looking sedan, the Binrui Cool. The latest model will hit the Chinese market in the second quarter of the year at an estimated price of 79,800 yuan (approximately equal to RM 52,776).

The Geely Binrui Cool is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo four-pot gasoline mill that pumps out a maximum power output of 181 PS and a peak torque of 235 Nm.Underpinning the same B-segment Modular Architecture platform on which our beloved Proton X50 sits, Geely’s new sedan targets the young enthusiasts with its latest design style, “Racing Storm.” It sports an aggressive stance thanks to sharp lines and huge vents dominating the front end along with orange splashes.
The upper grille is edged by sharp headlights integrated with triple-dash daytime running lights An “F” badge is also positioned on the grille highlighting it as a sportier version of the Binrui F Sport.
The sporty Binrui Cool also flaunts a swooping roofline, brightly painted brake calipers, finned side skirts, and 17-inch black wheels with a dual-star spoke pattern. At the rear lies a big spoiler, dual oval-shaped exhausts, and restyled tail lights that come with a twin-bar lighting signature.
Inside the new Geely Binrui Cool benefits from a new dual-tone (black and dark green) colour scheme teamed up with orange accents to spice things up. There is also a mix of carbon fibre-like material and metallic chrome on the central tunnel. Taking the sportiness to a further level are dual-density racing seats covered with black polyurethane and thick faux suede.
Geely also brings onboard several new features inside the cabin, including a 72-color ambient lighting system, a racing-type electronic gear lever, and rear AC vents. The dash also features a new design with a 12.3-inch central display and a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel.
As for power, the new Geely Binrui Cool is equipped with a 1.5-litre turbo four-pot gasoline mill that pumps out a maximum power output of 181 PS and a peak torque of 235 Nm. The power is sent to the front wheels via a wet-type 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
