2021 Bentley Continental GT Speed teased ahead of debut on March 23

KUALA LUMPUR: Every car enthusiast dreams of owning a luxury car as this comes with all advanced features, maximum comfort, and looks breathtakingly beautiful. These days, luxury automakers have been constantly working to make extravagant products more appealing and rare and one of them is Bentley. The British luxury brand recently teased the next-generation Continental GT Speed, which is set to make its global debut on March 23.   

Bentley says that it will be the “most capable, performance-focused Bentley yet – with no compromise to comfort or luxury.” It will be “the most dynamic road car in its 101-year history” and the “ultimate performance-focused interpretation of the world’s benchmark luxury Grand Tourer.”

The teaser video showcased the side-profile of the new Continental GT Speed in a dark gray color scheme and revealed the fact that it will have a distinctive front fascia, bigger side sills, and a more aggressive rear-end design. The video had a crackling engine sound signifying the increased power of the upcoming version.

The automaker also highlighted that the new model will have highly advanced chassis technology and styling tweaks specific to the model. The current version houses a 48-volt active anti-roll tech, known as Bentley Dynamic Ride, this could also get an upgrade along with the mechanical chassis for better agility.

As for what’s under the hood, we need to wait and watch if the Crewe-based manufacturer upgrades its already menacing 6.0-litre W12 power plant, which delivers a maximum power of 633 hp and a peak torque of 900 Nm in the ongoing top-spec Continental GT (pictured above). Well, the automaker has already shown the scope of improvements in the W12 engine; the exclusive Bacalar convertible incorporates its 650 hp version.

The 2021 Bentley Continental GT Speed will be the fifth model to join the Continental GT line-up, following the regular W12 coupe and the V8 model. After the global unveiling, the Speed badged Continental GT is expected to go on sale later this year.
