2020 Toyota Alphard features Toyota Safety Sense as standard
KUALA LUMPUR: As advanced safety technologies evolve and become more and more affordable, automakers have started the process of trickling down their high-end safety suites on to as many models in their portfolio as possible. The latest news is that the Toyota Alphard minivan will now feature the automaker's high-end Toyota Safety Suite as a part of the standard equipment. The 2020 Toyota Alphard follows the footsteps of the likes of the Fortuner, Super Grandia Elite, and the Corolla Altis Hybrid models that received their fair share of Toyota Safety Sense some time back.
Courtesy of the Toyota Safety Sense, the 2020 Alphard minivan will now come equipped with various advanced safety features such as automatic high beam (AHB), pre-collision system (PCS) with automatic emergency braking (AEB), lane-departure alert (LDA), and dynamic radar cruise control (DRCC). Alongside the all-new Toyota Safety Sense, the 2020 Alphard will also sport a refreshed touchscreen infotainment system that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
With more features coming as a part of the standard equipment, the price was expected to go up as well.
2020 Alphard price starts from RM 465,000 for the standard 3.5, which is RM 22,000 extra. The increased price, however, shouldn't be a deal-breaker and act as a deal maker, instead.
