Check out the 2020 Audi RS7 tuned by Black Box Richter

KUALA LUMPUR: With a fetching design, glorious V8 engine, and fluid handling, Audi rolled out the latest generation of RS7 at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show. But if attractive looks and performance of the all-new RS7 are not enough to entice you, we have something to tell you. 

An aftermarket tuner named Black Box Richter introduced a modified 2020 Audi RS7, which came from the lifestyle brand Nebulus in cooperation with HGP Turbo Retrofitting and 811 design.

The new version gets a massive performance upgrade over the already potent model and a unique two-step wrapping that looks like a topographical map placed over the sharp-edged sedan. 

Black Box-Richter put most of the efforts into the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 powertrain beneath the hood. In the factory version, the engine churns out a hefty 591 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, which simply wasn't enough. The tuner managed to pull an extra 371 hp and 450 Nm out of the turbocharged V8, meaning that the luxury sedan now has 962 hp and over 1250 Nm of torque. 

Performance specs of modified RS7 are yet to be released but it is likely to embarrass a few supercars off the lights.

Coming to the new foiling, which was carried out in two steps. Firstly the basic black metallic gloss was wrapped in the PWF black diamond matt and then covered with a silver glossy film wrap in a line layout of varying thickness. The cross-component accuracy of the bond fitting was most important for the appearance of a coherent picture. The design comes from Hajo LEMKE's pen from 811 design, and the wrapping process took about a week to complete.

The pricing of the package has not yet been disclosed, but considering the standard Audi RS7 price in the US market, starting at $114,000 (RM 477,585), it is expected to be close to the six-figure mark. Talking about the local market, the model is not available on sale here, though it has Audi A7 on which it is based.
