2019 Renault Triber debuts in Indonesia
KUALA LUMPUR: The famous French multinational automobile manufacturer Renault has finally launched the much-awaited Triber in Indonesia. The three-row MPV adorns the SUV-esque design that provides a more rugged appearance.
The new Renault Triber is based on the CMF-A platform of PSA Group and is available in six different variants. It measures 3,990 mm in length and rides on the 15-inch alloy wheels. As mentioned earlier, the Triber MPV has three rows, among which the third can be entirely removed, thus providing 625 litres of boot space. The kerb weight of the new Renault MPV is just under one tonne, which is quite impressive. The ground clearance of the MPV is also good enough at 182 mm.
New Renault Triber has an array of features. Inside the cabin, there is a 3.5-inch multi-info display having a digital speedometer, which is further accompanied by an 8.0-inch touchscreen head unit that has Apple CarPlay connectivity. All the three rows get air-con vents, along with other equipment like push start with auto-lock and the brand’s usual “smart card” keyless entry.
Speaking of the car's mechanical front, the Renault Triber specs sheet includes a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated three-cylinder engine. It is capable of pushing out a maximum power of 72 hp along with a peak torque of 96 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a five-speed automated manual (AMT) or a five-speed manual gearbox.
As for the safety, the Renault Triber is equipped with ABS, reverse sensor, reverse camera, and four airbags.
New Renault Triber price starts at 133 million rupiah (RM 40k) and goes up to 170 million rupiah (RM 50k). Deliveries for the manual model of the MPV will begin from December, while the AMT version will be available for the customers by April 2020.
