2019 Nissan X-Trail’s tentative pricing confirmed, starting from RM 133,888
KUALA LUMPUR: Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM), the official distributor of Nissan Malaysia has announced the tentative pricing of 2019 Nissan X-Trail. The car made its debut in Thailand a couple of months ago. The booking of the seven-seat SUV was also kicked off a couple of months ago. It is available in four variants including a hybrid option.
Starting with the design, 2019 Nissan X-Trail comes with new headlights with LED DRLs, a new V-Motion radiator grille, and smoked LED combination tail lights. It is available in five exterior color options - Imperial Umber, Tungsten Silver, Diamond Black, Titanium Olive, and Brilliant White.
Inside the cabin, there is a new five-inch Advanced Drive-Assist digital display placed on the leatherette dashboard. Elsewhere, a seven-inch Navi infotainment system is present that supports the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivities. Moreover, the powered leather front seats and the flat bottom steering wheel are the notable features of the interior to be mentioned.
There are two engine options available for 2019 Nissan X-Trail - an MR20DD 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine and a QR25DE 2.5-litre mill. The former can provide a maximum power of 144 PS, while the peak torque is at 200 Nm. On the other hand, the later produces a maximum power of 171 PS and a peak torque of 233 Nm. Both the engines are paired with an Xtronic CVT.
The hybrid variant also comes with the MR20DD engine along with an electric motor. The motor is capable of churning out a maximum power of 41 PS and the peak torque sticks at 160 Nm. The system further has a 0.9 kWh lithium-ion battery and outputs a healthy mileage of 16.1 kmpl. However, due to the placement of the battery, the Hybrid variant becomes a five-seater car, while the rest of the variants remain as the seven-seater.
The X-Trail features a number of safety features. The base variant gets four airbags, while the remaining three trims get six airbags as standard. It is the first car from the Nissan in the Philippines, to have the brand’s own Intelligent Mobility suite of driver assist systems. The AEB, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, etc are included in the suite.
Coming to the pricing, the base 2.0L 2WD is expected to costs RM 133,888, while the 2.0L 2WD Mid might go for RM 145,888. The 2.5L 4WD is expected to be priced around RM 153,888 and finally, the top-spec Hybrid variant might carry a price tag of RM 159,888.
