2016 Toyota Fortuner Captured Unwrapped

KUALA LUMPUR: Japanese automotive manufacturer Toyota, with unmatched creations like Hilux, Rush, Corolla Altis, Fortuner to name a few, have added another gem to its kit. Earlier seen in the not-so-clear spy shots, the 2016 Toyota Fortuner has now been captured fully in its new restyled form. This rugged SUV is available in the selected Asian market, that has already camped its way in the hearts of many adventure lovers, and was captured showing off its new looks.

The 2016 Toyota Fortuner, unlike its former version, gets a more sleeker look from its makers. At the front, a lot of chrome work is visible on the headlamps and the V-shaped front grille, further enhancing its splendid looks. Also, the fog lamps make its appearance prominent, as they sit in the beautifully crafted chrome case. Apart from this, the package comes with day-time LED light, that seems to have become one of the prominent feature of the upscale cars.

A lot of rework has also been done on its side profile, with the bigger wheel arches and ORVMs, which now gives room to the side indicators. Moving to the rear end, the taillights extending from the side profile are nicely wrapped around the boot lid. Fortuner embossed on the chrome lid, present at the rear end is a carry over from its earlier model.

As far as the engine range is concerned, it is expected that this new Fortuner will be available in four distinct engines, a 2.8-litre turbo diesel churning 177bhp of power, a smaller 2.4-litre diesel producing 160bhp and 400Nm, a 2.7-litre four-cylinder petrol with 164hp and in some markets this car is also expected to feature a 4.0-litre V6 petrol engine.

Though, not much is known about its interiors, but it is expected to feature a modified dashboard, along with a different center console design. Thus, making it quite clear that the 2016 Toyota Fortuner will be plusher and will give room to seven passengers with ease.

Expecting to makes its debut later this year, this new Fortuner will definitely be a head turner.
