2016 Hyundai Tucson's preliminary Pricing & Specifications
Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian pricing and specifications for the new 2016 Hyundai Tucson has been announced through its facebook page, Hyundai Sales – Glenmarie, Malaysia on 31st October ahead of its official market launch.
Available initially in two trim grades, the all-new Tucson range will kick off with the newly introduced entry-level Elegance trim priced at RM129,888 and range-topping Executive variant priced at RM143,888. Both the figures for the new trims are on-the-road (OTR) costs factored in.
Although, three months are left until Tucson's official launch in the Malaysian market, it has already grabbed a lot of attention and has managed to take around 250 bookings. Speculations have been made over this that Tucson's price might see a hike in near future by RM3k-4k in January 2016.

There is also availability of one lower-spec model for the SUV at Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM). The images we have posted here are for the Elegance model only. Still, this glimpse should give a good idea of what to expect from the future inevitably coming to Malaysia.
The front of the All-New Tucson is dominated by the radiator front grille, which connects with the LED headlamps to create a distinctive face. The front bumper features a wing-shaped appearance, which incorporates the LED daytime running lights, giving the car a unique style and provides a visual reference to its wide track. On Executive trim, you will see 17-inch wheels wrapped in tyre size 225/60 R17 with silver coloured body panels, door handles trimmed in silver and dual exhaust outlets.

The all-new Tucson will be available with one of the widest powertrain ranges in its class. These include 2.0-litre multi-point injection (MPi) engine unit, which produces a total power output of 155 PS at 6,200 rpm and 192 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Furthermore, the unit is said to coupled with a conventional six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that will directly send all the power to the front wheel.

Ample attention has also been paid to the cabin, although admittedly, the last Tucson's interior aged rather well. The new Tucson's features handsome red leather seats that contrast nicely with the black dash and silver accents. Additionally, there also appears to be the option of equipping one’s car with “quilted” leather seats.
Also, you will find the presence of manual air-conditioning within this SUV along with a head unit fitted into the centre console. For the two trims, you will be asked for color options with a total of eight body shades along with the aforementioned interior combinations, including Pure White, Platinum Silver, Phantom Black, Pepper Gray, Sepia Topaz, Ruby Wine, Sedona Orange and Ara Blue.
