2016 Hyundai Tucson Spotted in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur: Ahead of its Malaysian launch, the 2016 Hyundai Tucson has already made an appearance and was clicked by some photographers. The photos were taken when it was being carried in a trailer. This third-generation SUV was seen in white and dark red colour, so you can expect it to hit the showrooms in two shades. This is not the first time the car has been spotted in Malaysia, as earlier in August a camouflaged version was seen making an appearance. Globally, it had already made its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March before being premiered at the 2105 New York International Auto Show.

Going by the pictures, the white unit looks to be a low-spec version due to an absence of chrome accents on the front grille and LED daytime running lights. While both the units miss out on fog lamps. The dark red unit is anchored to multi-spoke wheels. Although wheels of the white car were not visible but being a lower spec trim, you can expect it to feature smaller wheels as compared to the dark red one.
Globally, Tucson is offered with five engine variants out of which two are petrol and three are diesel engines. Talking about petrol ones, there is a 1.6-litre GDI engine which delivers a maximum power of 135 PS while a turbocharged 1.6-litre T-GDI mill churns out a maximum power of 175 PS. As for the diesel engines, the 1.7-litre engine churns a power of 115 PS, 2.0-litre engine delivers 136 PS and the most powerful 2.0-litre engine is capable of delivering 184 PS.
For a detailed specification, we would have to wait for its Malaysian launch, but until then we have got an idea that what could be expected out of it.
