An Initiative by General Motors Presenting “Augmented Reality At Your Rear Car Seat Window”
Have you ever felt bored to the core sitting back alone in your car? Well, all this seem to be relating questions to all the parents especially who don't have the access to games related gadgets with no solution to divert the attention of their children in a constructive way. Wondering what's Augmented Reality in Car? Well in simple words it refers to “A technology, which overlaps a computer-generated image on a user's view of the actual world, hence with a provision of a combination view.” In a nutshell, it endeavored to create “Content” in various forms to increase user engagement while sitting back on the rear seat of the car.

Is a very interactive app, where the commuter especially a child can explore their creative imagination by drawing pictures on the rear car window.
2) General Motors App Highlight 2: “Otto”
Every kid loves cartoons isn't it? They can spot it from distance on the television, merchandise products, etc. Well, believing on this fact this app has an interesting customized cartoon character specific to this app that acts like an interactive buddy for the child. All it does is move the car with the respect to the environment and speed detected at that particular point of time, the commuter can also drag this cartoon character that is all visible on a transparent screen.
3) General Motors App Highlight 3: “Spindow”
This app helps in exploring places through a digital platform with an add-on feature of car performance detection. It smartly detects the vehicle location with the help of GPS through a revolving globe that can be surfed as a touchscreen panel, and the user can choose any of the location and look at its current view.
4) General Motors App Highlight 4: “Pond”
The trend of today's world is seamless with the help of social networking apps where connectivity is just a click away. In this context, this app gives a platform to share music as well as display status messages on an interactive display that no less seems to be alike sticky notes with the capability of sharing it on the car rear window screen.
