Honda Civic: Timeline
Honda Malaysia introduced the Civic in 2016, meaning it all started here with the 10th-generation model. It was offered in three trim options - 1.8S, 1.5 Turbo, and 1.5 Turbo Premium, catering to a wide range of customers. This was followed by the arrival of the 10-gen Civic facelift model in 2020, yes after four years of gap, the company introduced a revised version.
In 2022, Malaysia got its hand on the all-new and exciting 11-gen Civic that, like the previous model, was offered in three trim options - E, V, and RS. It was also the time when Honda introduced the e:HEV petrol hybrid powertrain in the RS trim.
Cut short, Honda now offers the facelifted version of the 11-gen Civic for its customers, who have four trim options to choose from, namely E, V, RS, and e:HEV RS.

2025 Honda Civic: An introduction
The arrival reports of new Civic’s started circulating the local lanes back in Dec 2024 itself and the automaker put a confirmation stamp on the report by accepting orders for the sedan. Launched recently, the 11-gen facelift model like before showcases the variant line-up which includes three petrol (E, V, RS) and one hybrid (e:HEV RS) option.f
As for changes, the new Civic displays some design changes like a redesigned front with a protruding lower part, air curtains instead of fog lamps, a larger grille, honeycomb mesh on the grille, and a lower intake and smoked tail lights. The dimensions largely remain the same with the overall length just up by 3 mm.

Now, along with the wireless Apple CarPlay, the sedan comes equipped with wireless Android Auto support. Solar and security window film tint from Ecotint and the Honda Connect telematics system are some new features found across the Civic variants.
As for safety, the 2025 Civic doesn’t disappoint at all with its wide range of standard features and driver assistance system. As for Honda Sensing, it too is a part of every Civic variant.

Aren’t you impressed seeing the new Civic’s standard safety features? We sure are. No matter which variant you choose, your and your family's safety is assured.
Colour
The new Civic is offered in five striking colour options, common for all trims.
- Canyon River Blue Metallic
- Platinum White Pearl
- Meteoroid Gray Metallic
- Crystal Black Pearl
- Ignite Red Metallic
Bottom line
There are two broad distinctions when it comes to the 2025 Civic’s variants. One is the choice between petrol and hybrid powertrain and the other is the cabin features. In all the other departments, the trims showcase more or less the same elements.
