So, how is the Toyota Vios doing so well? What are the factors or features that are keeping the consumers coming back to the car? Is it brand loyalty or faith in Toyota's reliability and quality? All of it might be true but along with this, we feel it's the new Vios feature kit that has made a major impact. It showcases a perfect balance between performance, design, comfort, convenience, and safety.
Today, we’ll be discussing two such factors relating to the new Vios, i.e., its safety and comfort offering features. So, without any delay let’s get started -
Safety
Pre-Collision System: It uses a stereo camera for detecting potential collisions with pedestrians and vehicles on the road. It automatically applies brakes, thus reducing the severity or even preventing a crash.
Adaptive Cruise Control: This system detects the speed and distance of the vehicle in front, thus automatically adjusting and maintaining a safe following distance.
Front Departure Alert: On detecting the departure of the vehicle in front, this system automatically sends a notification via an audio buzz or display, thus alerting the driver of the same.
Auto High Beam: It detects the headlight and proximity of the taillight of oncoming vehicles, and then switches the light unit from high to beam automatically.
Lane Departure Warning: When the system detects the vehicle is drifting from the lane, it alerts the driver either via an audio buzz or display.
Lane Departure Prevention: It helps the vehicle keep the car in the lane by automatically making corrective steering hints.
Lane Keeping Control: By actively applying slight corrective steering, the Lane Keeping Control function constantly keeps the car centered.
3D Panoramic View Monitor: The PVM offers the driver a 360-degree view of the car via customized display angles making it extremely easy for him/her to park or maneuver in tight spaces.
Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert: This system detects and then alerts the driver about the vehicles in the blind spot. It alerts the driver of the oncoming traffic from the rear when the reverse gear is activated.
Six Parking Alert Sensors: The new Vios gets two ultrasonic sensors at both ends which detect and then alert the driver about the proximity of the obstacles.
Six SRS Airbags: Vios six airbags offer the driver and passengers maximum protection in the event of a collision.
Pedal Misoperation Control: This system suppresses engine output and automatically applies brakes on detecting that the accelerator has been mistakenly applied.
Auto Rain Sensor: This feature automatically activates the wipers and adjusts their speed depending on the rain.
Tyre Repair Kit: Toyota offers the Vios with a tyre repair kit which is much more convenient than changing to a spare tyre in the event of a puncture situation.
Comfort
Paddle Shifters: This one offers a faster and more precise gear change, thus offering a more engaging driving experience.
Drive Modes: The new Vios comes with three drive modes, namely Power, Eco, and Normal. Thus allowing the driver to switch between relaxing and exhilarating drive as per mood.
Fast Charging Rear USB Ports: This feature allows everyone to stay connected with the outside world.
Wireless Charger: This setup allows convenient charging options for ‘Qi’ compliant devices.
Vehicle Telematic System: Toyota’s VTS system tracks and monitors the Vios' real-time location via Toyota 24SEVEN mobile app.
