The all-electric car is mounted on GAC’s Architecture Electric Platform 2.0 which the 2025 Aion ES shares with the Aion Y Plus. The latter is a mini-multipurpose vehicle (MPV).  AEP vehicles are 20 percent lighter than market standards and come with an integrated three-in-one electric-drive system that combines motorcycles, electronic control, and a reducing agent.

Look-wise the 2025 GIAC Aion ES has a bit of a blunt styling with the rounded-off and seemingly sealed-off snout. There are some interesting design cues though, like the black inserts that stretch towards the rear windscreen. The design seems to elongate the C-pillars. The dashboard gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay connectivity. It’s connected to a multi-speaker audio system that gets speed-based volume control. Some of the more important functions are hidden beneath sub-menus. The response time isn’t fast either. A 3.5-inch driver’s information display unit houses the analog dials that are easy to read. The dual-spoke (instead of the conventional three-spoke) multifunction steering wheel is easy to grip and operate. The 2025 GIAC Aion ES comes with 450 litres of boot space.
