Recent Updates of KSR PRO

Who said you need to have an extremely powerful and expensive motorcycle to have some fun in the dirt? Kawasaki KSR Pro is priced at RM 7,358 and promises to offer some adrenaline-filled moments off the road. It is powered by a 111 cc single-cylinder engine which produces 8.5 hp and comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. However, it isn’t about the horses here, it’s about the equipment and accessibility.

The KSR Pro has an aggressive off-road style which clearly looks very capable. It comes with cast aluminium wheels, inverted front forks, beefier tyres, and a high-raised handlebar. It has a low height seat of only 750 mm which makes it easy for riders to place their feet flat on the ground. Everything is assembled to provide nimble street riding performance as well as off-road fun.

Kawasaki KSR PRO Review 2024

The Kawasaki KSR Pro is a sporty little adventure naked motorcycle that looks chunky despite the super light frame and built. It is an affordable alternative for Benelli TNT 135 and the Honda MSX125 SF. However, the price factor does make it the smallest displacement model compared to the competitors.

Kawasaki has designed the KSR Pro as a combination of an aggressive naked street design with the qualities of an exceptional off-road motorcycle. The design is made to be aggressive at all fronts, including the thick tyres. The price starts at around RM 7,400 in the domestic market.

Kawasaki KSR PRO Design

Right at the first impression, you will barely believe that this is a 110 cc motorcycle. All thanks to its highly sculpted design and the aggressive approach. It is built to be sturdy and durable credit for which goes to the Tube Back Bone frame which makes for an exceptional riding experience.

Starting from the front, the headlamp is quite on the attractive side and has the front mudguard just below it. The telescopic forks are pretty thick and have a decent travel. The tank section extension (cowl) adds to the attractiveness. The information console is a complete analogue unit with just one round dial for the speedometer and an odometer at the centre.

The ignition includes a power start option and an engine kill switch, something that is not very common in the segment. The ergonomics are pretty comfortable for the rider due to a raised handlebar. This allows a very upright stance with no sort of stress on any of the riders body parts.

KSR PRO Ride & Handling

The Kawasaki KSR Pro rides like a very agile and nimble motorcycle in the segment. It is comfortable for the rider due to is great suspension setup, which is done on 30 mm telescopic forks for the front and swingarm type monoshock at the rear.

It is very easy for the riders of all height, thanks to the very manageable dimensions. The seat height stands at 750 mm only, which means firm footing would be easy. Moreover, the overall kerb weight of 94 kilograms means it is very light and the rider can take it for off-road adventures in a breeze.

The gearbox is pretty smooth on the shifts. However, considering that the maximum power and torque come at a good rev range, the addition of a fifth gear would have been a blessing in disguise.

Kawasaki KSR PRO Engine & Fuel Consumption

The Kawasaki KSR Pro features a very modest engine, but it does manage to stand out with its sheer power delivery. The 111 cc single-cylinder engine comes with liquid-cooling and two valves. The setup can help in churning out a maximum power of 8.7 PS at 8,500 rpm along with a peak torque of 8.4 Nm, which comes at just 6,000 rpm.

As for the transmission of power to the wheel, the company offers a 4-speed return type unit, which is assisted by a wet multi-disc manual clutch. The shifts are smooth at both ends and you won’t find them to be clunky.

KSR PRO Braking & Safety

The Kawasaki KSR Pro makes for an amazing ride experience and manages the safety department pretty well. For example, the stopping power is generated from disc brakes on both the wheels. The front wheel has 200 mm brake rotor while the rear has a 184 mm unit.

The thick 100 mm tubeless tyres are made for an on-road tread that offers sporty performance. The tyres also offer great stability and road grip and make sure that the rider does not lose control due to skidding.

Kawasaki KSR PRO Verdict

The Kawasaki KSR Pro is a great entry-level bike in the naked adventure segment. And is the perfect option to go for if you want something more than just a commuter. The power and torque are just optimum to have a sporty ride. Plus, the price is very affordable too.

However, it is also to be considered that it is a little on the weaker side when it comes to the engine displacement compared to the similar looking bikes.
