Honda CB1100 RS Review 2024
Abhishek Katariya says
The Honda CB 1100 RS is an incredible retro-styled motorcycle that has been provided with a sportier look to attract users. The performance and ride quality of this incredible bike is stunning. It has been provided with electric ignition and an effective fuel injection system. Another major highlight of this spectacular ride is the digital screen present that demarcates the analogue rev-counter and speedo dials. The all-LED lighting presents further enhance the quality of this beautiful motorcycle.
There are many more stunning features present in this motorcycle that makes it one of the most vivid motorcycles to ever hit the Malaysian market. It has been priced at around RM80000 which is pretty decent compared to the specifications offered. This ride would definitely prove to be a worthy deal for the ardent riders.
Honda CB1100 RS Design
The Honda CB1100 RS is beautifully designed by Honda. Starting with the traditional round LED headlights, round mirrors, and the retro LED taillight. The design is a superb blend of classic styling and modern elements like alloy wheels and exposed suspension. Along with the sweeping chrome exhaust pipes, the motorcycle's black finish adds a lot of individuality.
The round LED headlight, round mirrors, and traditional old-school tail-light design (with LEDs) quickly transport you to another era, while the RS adds alloy wheels, blackened out body panels, and, most crucially, a suspension that is stunning in both appearance and hardware over the EX. This is a motorcycle whose engine speaks louder than anything else since it is a work of art in and of itself.
CB1100 RS Ride & Handling
The Honda CB 1100 RS offers an exceptional ride quality coupled with extreme power and comfort. This is the reason behind the rising popularity of this bike. The sportier Honda CB1100 RS, includes more premium components, including suspension, brakes, and wheels. The Showa-sourced suspension is a little firm, which isn't a problem on smooth Malaysian roads but isn't ideal for terrible ones.
The RS isn't about riding it easy, with a flatter handlebar, sharper steering geometry, and a shorter wheelbase than the EX. When pushed around a turn, one can feel the 252 kg weight, but it soon settles into a rhythm, providing surefooted handling and adequate feedback to push around the twisties. The brakes also provide superb stopping power, with plenty of feedback at the levers and excellent tire grip. It is also equipped with a digital display that indicates the gear position. The quality of the switchgear is exemplary.
Honda CB1100 RS Engine & Fuel Consumption
A 1140cc, 4-cylinder, 16 valve engine powers the Honda CB1100 RS. At 7500 RPM, this engine produces 88 HP and 93.5 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The engine is extremely smooth and comes with refined and powerful power delivery. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission system. It also has a smooth transmission. A slipper clutch is also included in this vintage motorcycle.
The slipper clutch is moderately weighted and the transmission shifts smoothly (not too light, not too heavy). Because it is an air-cooled motorbike, it heats up in stop-and-go traffic, but what really thrills the riders about it is the exhaust note; it just sounds perfect, reminds them of old days, and even misfires; clearly, a lot of effort went into getting the CB1100 RS sound the way it does.
CB1100 RS Braking & Safety
The Honda CB 1100 RS includes a double-disc, four-piston callipers brakes that have a size of about 296 mm at the front and a single-piston calliper of size 256 mm at the back. They provide ample stopping power to stop this beast.
This ride is also equipped with many safety features like a pass switch, a digital odometer, ABS-enabled brakes, an engine check warning, and much more.
Honda CB1100 RS Verdict
The Honda CB1100 RS is a fantastic mix of old and new. It looks the part, has plenty of power to cruise at any speed that the rider desires, and handles nicely. The essential beauty of the CB1100 RS is its simplicity; it manages to be both retro and modern at the same time. With its surefooted dynamics and plenty of power, this is a bike that can comfortably pacify the demands of all passionate riders.
