CMC Ario 110

Despite being an entry-level product that creates an impression of having a drab design with a compromise in style, the CMC Ario 110 creates a decent impression of being a good-looking bike for its price. The overall design of the CMC Ario 110 looks sharp and youthful, which is a rare combination for a vehicle of its price.

At the front, the CMC Ario 110 has a pointy look to its front apron, which has a slanted design and accommodates sleek and long triangular clear lens turn indicators on its edges. The handlebar cowl looks smart too, and has a clear lens halogen headlamp which matches the aggressiveness of the design of the front apron. Like all the underbone bikes, the CMC Ario 110 also gets a pointier-looking front fender just below the apron.

The side profile of the CMC Ario 110 looks decent as well, as the sleekness and sharpness of the front profile are carried out for the side look as well. The side portions of the front apron flow down towards the engine, thus creating a Y-styled design while merging with the spine in the middle. These extended panels merge well with the slim side body panels, which flow towards the tail section of the bike in a unison. The lower portion of the bike gets its engine in an all-black finish, a theme that has been carried out for the five-spoke alloy wheels as well. The long exhaust pipe gets a nice-looking chrome shield over it.

At the back, there is a sense of minimalism and simplicity in the design of the CMC Ario 110, with the tail section ending up with a compact tail lamp and a long rear fender. Like in a motorcycle, the CMC Ario 110 gets fender-mounted turn indicators. Just behind the long and slim seat, you get a nicely styled single-piece grab rail for the pillion rider. The CMC Ario 110 also gets a decent-looking all-analog instrument console with regular dials for the speedometer, fuel gauge, and odometer.

Like a traditional commuter motorcycle, the CMC Ario 110 gets a suspension combination of hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and double hydraulic coil springs at the back. The ride quality is not too plush, though the suspension is finely tuned to make the CMC Ario 110 an easy bike to handle around corners and in tight city traffic conditions.

The CMC Ario 110 gets a four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 107cc engine, which happens to be the smallest engine produced by China Motor Corporation. The engine is coupled to a standard 4-speed manual gearbox and pumps out a maximum power output of 6.5 PS and a peak torque output of 7 Nm. These figures seem modest in general, but offer decent levels of performance and acceleration for urban rides.

While the CMC Ario 110 caters to budget-conscious buyers, it skips out on all the prominent safety features which are making their way in some budget-oriented scooters and motorcycles as well.

The two-wheelers in the affordable entry-level bare basic category usually compromise in styling and mechanicals. However, the CMC Ario 110 is not such a product. It gets a fair treatment when it comes to styling, and is one of the nicest looking bikes in its category. It is only a closer inspection that reveals the inconsistency in its fit and finish levels. The performance and ride quality from the mechanical setup make this scooter a practical ride to live with.
