ZEEKR X

The futuristic-looking cabin of the Zeekr X has minimal buttons, with much of the in-car functions and systems controlled through screens and voice commands. There is a new-age 8.8-inch full-TFT instrument console placed behind the two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, which comes equipped with physical buttons for vehicle locks, demisters, tailgate opening, and operating the 360-degree camera. 

The centre console has a large 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, through which one can control the infotainment and climate control setups. The centre console also has an integrated 50W wireless charger, plenty of storage space, and an optional refrigerator. Finished in a dual-tone theme of Charcoal Black and Stone Grey, the cabin of the Zeekr X looks stylish with creative-looking graphics and electric release doors.

The cabin of the Zeekr X also has more new-age features like 10-way power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation functions, electronically controlled rear seats, dual-zone climate control with CN95 filtration, a 13-speaker Yamaha sound system, a head-up display, a fragrance system, and pillar-mounted rear AC vents.

The striking and futuristic-looking Zeekr X has a curved bonnet, that flows down towards the front fascia with dual-tier LED headlamps with LED DRLs on the lower edges. The upper sections of these headlamps are covered by H-shaped LED DRLs, while the main headlamps sit horizontally over the front bumper.

From the side, the Zeekr X looks ultra-modern with flush-type door handles in this Malaysia-spec model, unlike the China-spec model which has buttons for opening and closing the doors on its C-pillars. The Zeekr X also has frameless rearview mirrors and frameless doors that elevate its style quotient. 

At the rear, the Zeekr X has U-shaped LED tail lamps on the sides of the boot lid, which are connected by an LED light bar across the boot. This connecting LED light bar has illuminated Zeekr lettering in the middle. 

The Zeekr X comes standard with Macpherson struts at the front and a multi-link at the rear, with both of its variants having three driving modes – Comfort, Standard, and Sport. Engineered to deliver a plush ride quality, the suspension of the Zeekr X has a soft setup. The steering setup feels light to use at all speeds but could have had a more weighted feel at higher speeds. 

The lower-spec Premium RWD variant of the Zeekr X is powered by a single motor setup, which produces a maximum power output of 268 bhp and a maximum torque output of 343 Nm This variant of the Zeekr X can do 0-100 kmph run in 5.8 seconds. On the other hand, the Zeekr X Flagship AWD has a dual-motor setup with a combined power output of 422 bhp and a combined torque output of 543 Nm and claims 3.7 seconds for the 0-100 kmph run. Both the variants have a 66kWh battery, which delivers a range of 440 km in the Premium RWD and 420 km in the Flagship AWD (both WLTP-certified). 

The Zeekr X has several ADAS features on board, with its list including full-speed active cruise control, lane change assist, door opening warning, automatic parking assist (with remote control), remote parking control, lane departure warning, lane centring, blind spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking, low-speed rear autonomous emergency braking and traffic sign recognition, cross traffic alert (front and rear). This electric crossover also comes with a few more sophisticated safety features like four surround cameras, ABS with EBD and brake assist, hill start assist, hill descent control, an in-car monitoring camera, six airbags, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. 

Following the suite of other modern-day Chinese electric vehicles, the Zeekr X looks very futuristic inside-out, has tons of modern features, and has impressive battery and motor options. While the driving appeal is not as exciting as the way it looks, the Zeekr X appeals more with its modernity and practicality on the inside.
