Recent Updates of Tiguan Allspace Highline
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace is an extended wheelbase version of the regular Tiguan, which is known for its German looks, high-quality interior, and pleasant driving experience. Locally assembled at VW’s Pahang plant, the seven-seater SUV made its Malaysian debut in August this year in two variants - Highline and R-Line. The extra wheelbase offers multiple seat configurations ranging from 2 to 7 and a best-in-the-segment boot capacity of 1,775 litres (with 2 seats). The feature-packed cabin boasts several tidbits, including a 9.2-inch Discover Pro infotainment system with Android Auto, and Apple Carplay support, a digital cockpit, 3-zone "Climatronic" automatic climate control, keyless entry with push start, electronic parking brake, electric tailgate, 12-way driver seat adjustability, and cruise control. The automaker offers the Tiguan Allspace in two powertrain options - a 1.4-litre TSI turbocharged gasoline unit generating 150 PS of maximum power and 250 Nm of torque, and a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged mill churning out 220 PS and 350 Nm. The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace price starts at RM 165,000.

Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Highline Review 2024
Abhishek Katariya says
With the Tiguan Allspace, Volkswagen intends to cater to the large families who want the extra space of a third row in a large vehicle but want all the versatility of a four-wheel-drive SUV. The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace, which promises a blend of luxury and practicality, is available in Malaysia in two variants – Standard and R-Line, both of which are being offered in five paint schemes, namely Deep Black, Platinum Grey, Blue Silk, Pyrite Silver, and Pure White.
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Highline Interior & Features
The overall cabin of the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace is exactly the same as that of the five-seater version, save for the fact that one does get two additional small seats in the third row. The overall space and comfort of the cabin here don’t feel too roomy, with the third row best suited for kids only.
Apart from that, the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace impresses with its sporty layout of the dashboard, with the entire cabin wrapped in black theme with top-notch leather. The flat bottom multi-functional steering wheel, virtual cockpit design with TFT theme for the entire instrument console, large 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with trapezoidal AC vents above it, and sleek panel for three-zone automatic climate control below it complete the overall cabin at the front in utmost premium fit and finish.
Tiguan Allspace Highline Exterior
The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace carries forward the styling approach of its five-seater version, the standard Tiguan, with an extended wheelbase and minute tweaks to styling. All these minor changes do strengthen its road presence even more, by making it slightly larger and more premium.
At the front, the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace has a bold looking face, which consists of a trapezoidal front grille with three horizontal chrome slats and large trapezoidal headlamps placed just adjacent to the side edges of the front grille, The headlamps, with their full LED treatment including sleek daytime running LEDs as well as turn indicators, make the front end look beefy and premium. The front bumper too looks busy with large trapezoidal housing s for the small LED fog lamps, with glossy black chrome touches.
The side profile, with an extended wheelbase, makes the overall length of the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace look poised. Other than that, the SUV looks not so outstanding, with subtle looking character line flowing through the chrome finished door handles. The rounded wheel arches here do get treated with a slim body cladding job. At the back, the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace retains the rear profile of the five-seater Tiguan, with wide and stretched L-shaped LED tail lamps as well as a roof-mounted spoiler and stop lamp.
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Highline Ride & Handling
The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace features 4MOTION all-wheel-drive technology, which makes the ride quality and handling of the bulky SUV quite comfortable on whichever terrain you drive it. Despite its bulky stance and large proportions, the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace doesn’t roll much with a calm and composed nature in its driving dynamics.
Tiguan Allspace Highline Engine & Fuel Consumption
The engine and gearbox combinations that Volkswagen has employed for the Tiguan Allspace are different for both the variants of it on sale. The standard variant is powered by a 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which makes 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The R-Line variant shares its 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with the Arteon, however, here it is slightly tweaked to produce better performance figures – 220 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission is common to both the engines, whereas the R-Line variant gets all-wheel-drive as standard.
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Highline Braking & Safety
The Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace is armed with a host of safety features, which includes the likes of the front, side, and curtain airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control, hill hold control, hill start assist, driver alert system, front and rear parking sensors and reverse camera.
Tiguan Allspace Highline Verdict
With its extra sense of space and road presence, the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace feels a justifiable upgrade not only above the five-seater version of the Tiguan but also for all those who are seeking a big and premium SUV which is very practical at the same time.
