Toyota C-HR Review 2024
Abhishek Katariya says
Toyota C-HR was first showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in the year 2016, then later in 2017, it was brought to the Malaysian market. After two years in 2019, an upgraded version of the C-HR was launched with new colour options and few enhancements in terms of styling and equipment. The car has received widespread popularity right from its launch mainly because of its appearance. Besides that, the car has also managed to score a 5-star rating in ASEAN NCAP tests, making it top-notch in terms of safety standards.
The associated price tag of C-HR stands at RM 150,000 on-the-road without insurance. The newly included colour option is Radiant Green Metallic. Other varieties of colour options available for the customers are Attitude Black Mica, White Pearl CS, Red Mica, Blue Metallic, and Metal Stream Metallic. An optional TRD Sportivo Aerokit package for adding on front and rear under-guards is also offered at RM 3,990.
Toyota C-HR Interior & Features
The car is very appealing on the exterior front and the automakers have ensured that the spirit of excellence continues on the interior as well. As you get inside the Toyota C-HR you are welcomed by a well-groomed and luxurious cabin. Be it the seats, the dashboard, or the instrument cluster, everything seems so intricately designed that every inch and corner oozes of sophistication.
The seats are wrapped in premium leather upholstery with a diamond design that totally complements the cabin design. The cabin follows a piano-black theme apart from few tints of brown at doors and front seats. The dashboard looks appealing with wraps of soft padding over it and the contrasts of silver ornamentation give it a plush look. Coming to the center-instrument console, we have a wide 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, faceted with all ubiquitous features like the smartphone connectivity, Wi-Fi, Internet browser, voice recognition, HDMI, USB, Bluetooth, and a reverse parking camera. The instrument console also comes with a 4.2-inch colour Multi-information Display (MID) which shows various data related to the car. C-HR Exterior
Toyota designers must receive acclamation for crafting out beauty like C-HR. the exterior aesthetics of the car are drool-worthy from each and every angle.
Talking about the front fascia of the car, you see wide headlights, so large that they seem to cover almost the entire bonnet. Between the large headlights, lies the company’s logo. The front also dons automatic halogen projector lamps along with Daytime Running Lights (DRL’s). Other styling elements placed at the front bumper includes circular fog lamps which are neatly housed on either side of the bumper. Overall, with all these style elements, the front bumper looks eye-catchy.
Segment-wise, the Toyota C-HR is a Compact High Rider or a Coupe High Rider, and the automaker has worked with utmost perfection to give the car that coupe-look. The car carries a two-door look and the door handles of the rear are located above the window panes. You may not be able to instantly locate the door handles, unless you see it very carefully, because the design is so seamlessly merged with the window panes.
The rear profile of the car is as striking as the front is. With utmost swag and style, the overall look of the car gels ups so well. At the rear, the boot-lid and the tail-lights, add to the premium-ness of the car. The rear bumper is big and wide and merged with the rear wheel arches to form a coupe-like shape of the car. The rear bumper is pretty big and curves near the rear wheel arches. The outside rear-view mirrors are auto foldable and contain integrated turn signals and also feature small puddle lights.
Overall, the exterior designing and styling hues of C-HR are irresistible and it’s not easy to take your eyes off this beauty.
