The aerodynamic look has been able to reduce the drag coefficient of the sedan class to 0.27 whereas its grand Touring has a coefficient of 0.28. Furthermore, the car has an electric sunroof that can be switched away for getting the required light in the vehicle. It can be stated that the rear tail lamps are influenced by the Hyundai Elantra and that is more like a compliment for Hyundai over a complaint of bad design choice for Mazda.

This new generation Mazda 6 is quite longer than the previous version, wherein its sedan class comes with a length of 4865mm, width of 1840mm, and overall height of 1450mm. When the Grand Touring version is considered, it has a length of 4800mm, width of 1840mm, and an overall height of about 1480 mm.

The SkyActiv-G 2.5 L engine produces a commanding power of 185hp at 5700 rpm and maximum torque of 250Nm at 3250 rpm. The 6-speed auto transmission in both the engine variants further adds to the performance of the car.
