Ferrari F12berlinetta Review 2024

Super Car of the Year 2012, International Engine of the Year 2013 in Best Performance category and Best Engine above 4.0 litres and now the XXIII Premio Compasso d'oro ADI award. Since its debut at 2012 Geneva Motor Show the Ferrari F12 berlinetta has been crowned with numerous titles and awards. And now this ferocious Italian is all set to roar on the Malaysian roads. This Italian grand tourer has a massive 6262 cc 65° V12 engine of the Ferrari F140 engine family. The naturally aspirated engine of F12 churns out 730 hp at 8250 rpm and boosting a pulsating torque of 690 Nm at 6000 rpm. Front mid-engine, rear wheel-drive layout of the F12 houses a 7-speed dual-clutch automated semi-automatic gearbox which is paddle operated. The brutal acceleration of the F12 allows it to attain a top speed of 340 km/h, making it reach 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds and 200 km/h in a staggering 8.5 seconds.
HELE start-stop system equipped in the F12 enables it to deliver a combined mileage of 6.6 km/l. Exterior of the F12 is the true blend of aerodynamics and elegance. The long sculpted hood of the F12 accommodates an innovative air flow system. Air channels on the either side of hood, funnels the air striking the bonnet to the side flanks thus creating a down force that eventually increases traction. Front of the F12 acquires a wide grille that transports adequate air to the V12. The bumper at the front accommodates two electronically controlled vanes that draws air to the brakes for optimal cooling. When closed, these vanes add to the aerodynamics of the vehicle. The rear of the F12 incorporates Kamm tail structure engraved with LED tail lamps and F1 inspired fog lights. To enhance sportiness, the cabin is optimized by providing sporty driving position that ensures maximum comfort. The ergonomically arranged controls of the F12 allows easy human-machine interface. Seats are built in such a way, so as to reduce the cabin space and at the same time cater to the comfort needs of the occupants.
With Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and F1 Traction Control (F1 -Trac) driving becomes even more safe. The ESC improves stability by detecting and reducing loss of traction and the electronic differential in the F12 uses steering wheel command signals and motor speed signals, in order to provide different power values to each wheel. High performance Antilock Braking System/Electronic Brake Distribution ensures proper amount of braking force to each wheel. Crash resistant body of the F12 allows it to encounter sudden impacts occurred during crash. The Magnetorheological suspension control with dual coil system offers highly adaptive ride. Dampers used in this suspension are ECU controlled that adjust the ride through electromagnetic coils equipped in it.

This results in precise bump controls and improves ride comfort.

Safety and Security:

The activation of CT, ESC and ABS makes driving more safe and comfortable. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) equipped in the vehicle provides better traction to the vehicle by providing precise amount of power to all four wheels. High Performance AntiLock Braking System/Electronic BrakeForce Distribution transfers equal amount of brake force to all 4 wheels. The third generation electronic differential allows equal amount of power to be transmitted to each wheel while turning. F1 Traction control equipped in the car provides adequate traction by managing all wheels separately thus reducing the risk of slippage. The adaptive Magnetorheological suspension control alters the dampers through the ECU thus providing excellent ride comfort.
