Yamaha YZF-R25 & MT-25 owners get ABS Hose routing inspection notice in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The official distributor of Yamaha in Malaysia, Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn. Bhd. has a recall notice for the YZF-R25 and MT-25.

The said recall is merely a safety inspection, a precautionary measure to ensure the concerned models meet the standard specifications and are safe. Affected units involve the bikes purchased between September 2022 and March 2023 and the owners will be alerted via individual notices sent out from the second week of May 2023. Upon the receipt of the HLYM notice, owners of the affected units are advised to contact authorized dealers for service appointments.

Part of the recall concerning a braking issue involves the R25 sportbike with the frame number PMYRG7510N0000101 to PMYRG7510P0001294 and the T-25 naked sports bike from frame number PMYRG7520N0000101 to PMYRG7520P0001412.

It is to be noted that if a rider finds the R25 or MT-25 unsafe to ride before receiving the notice, they should directly contact the HLYM authorized dealers or HYLM.
